51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Sangiovese, 11% Syrah Noir, 7% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petite Sirah
Aged for 14 months in a blend of older and new American, Slovakian and French oak, this central Italian inspired blend is created from fruit grown at two locations in the hills above the San Pasqual Valley. The first blend to come from the vineyards of Elliot Ranch and Hungry Hawk presents a medium bodied wine that gives aromas of currants, dried cranberries and raspberries with hints of Italian seasoning, toasty vanilla and hickory. On the palate, smooth cherries, strawberries and raspberries are joined by hints of rosemary and tarragon with medium, lingering vibrant velvet finish.
