2019 Lonesome Oak Carmenere
Made from grapes grown at the Lonesome Oak Vineyards, owned by Mary Anne and Jon Walters in Valley Center, CA. After years of diligent work resurrecting a vineyard that, in 2017, only produced 100lbs. of grapes, we have our first 100% Carménère from this 1/3 acre vineyard. A wine with deep violet color and aromas of dark berries is followed on the palate with a bright, silky textured depth of dark berries and a hint of black pepper with a lingering medium - full finish.

Aroma of blackberry, black plum with hints of oak spice, tarragon and jasmine flowers. On the palate similar fruit flavors with black cherry. Medium bodied with a dry firm tannic structure.
Lively strawberry and pomegranate aromas are wrapped in oak and fennel pollen on the nose of this bottling. Lightly tart red fruit flavors meet with rose petal, carnation and herb on the palate - Wine Enthusiast
