Aromas of nectarines, guava, passion fruit and lemongrass. It is followed on the palate by stone fruits, citrus, tropical fruits and a medium satin finish.

2016 Estate Grown

Our 4th vintage of Estate Albariño was aged in stainless steel sur lie for 5 months. This medium bodied wine has aromas of peaches, pears, and honeysuckle with hints of jasmine. On the palate, flavors of stone fruits, honey, cantaloupe and citrus are followed by a bright, full, medium finish. It is perfect to enjoy on a warm San Diego day paired with prosciutto and melon or your favorite shellfish, especially oysters!  38 cases produced.

2016 San Diego County

Sourced from Hill Springs Farms in Warner Springs, CA, this is our first release of 100% San Diego County Chardonnay. 48% of this wine was barrel fermented and aged for 8 months in 50% new French Oak, while the balance was fermented and aged in stainless steel providing a medium to full bodied wine with aromas of apricots, citrus zest, vanilla and toasted walnuts. On the palate, creamy apricots, lemons and honey infused orange blossoms dominate with hints of oak followed by a viscous satin finish. 100 cases produced.

2016 Estate Grown

This third vintage of our proprietary Chardoriño is our finest yet! Aged for 8 months in the same lightly toasted French Oak barrel as the 2015 vintage, this year’s version gives us aromas of green apple, confectioners’ sugar and lemon zest. The palate is dominated by creamy lemon meringue pie with hints of apples and a lingering, silky finish. Made 100% from grapes grown here at Hungry Hawk Vineyards. 23 cases produced.

Sauvignon Blanc

This is our first release of Sauvignon Blanc made 100% from grapes grown on site at Hungry Hawk Vineyards. Aged sur lie for 6 months in stainless steel, this medium bodied and aromatic white wine displays notes of passion fruit, guava and lemongrass on the nose. On the palate, guava and grapefruit dominate with hints of tangerine and lemon tart followed by a long, full, and lingering silky finish. 20 cases produced.

Mélange Blanc

2016 Estate Grown
The Viognier in this blend of French white varietals was barrel fermented in new French oak while the Pinot Gris and Chardonnay were fermented in stainless steel. The separate fermentations were blended together shortly after they finished then aged sur lie for 5 months in stainless steel. What results is a medium to full bodied wine that displays aromas of pineapple, tangerine and a hint of toasted vanilla with kiwi, orange and vanilla cream on the palate followed by a long, bright, velvety finish.  37 cases produced.

Blueberry Sparkling Wine

Our first Blueberry Sparkling Wine will be available this coming August 19th!  Using organic and fresh blueberries (not from concentrate!) from Fairfield Farms in Pauma Valley, San Diego County, this sparkling wine is naturally produced through a secondary fermentation process known as the Charmat Method.  260 cases produced.

In November, we will be releasing our third vintage of dry Blueberry Wine made 100% from fresh, organic blueberries!  This wine has been very popular!  Our 2016 vintage even garnered the title of Best Fruit Wine at this year's 2017 Toast of the Coast San Diego County Fair International Wine Competition.

Displays aromas of black cherries and raspberries with hints of vanilla and nutmeg, followed on the palate by raspberries, candied cherries, caramel and toasted cedar with a lingering velvety finish.

Super Tuscan

2015 San Diego County

The fruit for our second release of Super Tuscan was sourced from three vineyards in San Pasqual Valley and surrounding hills (19% from Hungry Hawk Vineyards). The majority of this wine was aged in American Oak with the smaller percentage of Hungry Hawk grown fruit aged in mostly new French Oak.

This deep purple, medium bodied wine displays aromas of black cherries, chocolate, toasted oak and a hint of cedar. On the palate, blackberries dominate with notes of black pepper, plum, black cherries and a medium, velvety finish.

Our second release of Queue Rouge grown here at
Hungry Hawk Vineyards is a Left Bank style
Bordeaux Blend made up of 84% Cabernet
Sauvignon and 16% Merlot. This wine was aged
for 20 months in mostly new French Oak. 23 cases produced.
